DAVE DREYFUS – FOUNDER, HEAD TRAINER
Dad. Husband. Dog Trainer. Die-hard Red Sox Fan.
Dave Dreyfus is a Certified Dog Trainer and Founder of EveryDog. His successful journey to being one of the most highly-recommended trainers in Southern California started with a hardship he endured while in the midst of his career as an Associate Producer at ESPN.
Dave had a pit bull mix named Rocky who was diagnosed with lymphoma at the age of 5. He lasted 2 years and 8 months from diagnosis, and Rocky’s battle with cancer changed Dave’s life forever. Even though he was a 2-time Emmy winner at ESPN, Dave knew something was missing in his life. The need to do more to serve dogs blossomed during his time caring for Rocky, and soon became his sole focus.
EveryDog is the result of that inner drive. Ultimately, Dave aims to lead a non-profit organization that serves as a bridge between owners of seriously-ill pets and the care that they need and deserve. He realized to get to this point, he needed to make his mark in the animal industry. Training is his first love and step.

He is married to his beautiful, loving and supporting wife Desi, and they are parents to their amazing (human) sons, Luca and Nico. They also share parental duties for their 12-year-old Jack Russell-mix rescue, Halo.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
EveryDog’s philosophy is grounded in the most contemporary, evidence-based dog training methodologies. Force-free, positive reinforcement is at the forefront of this movement, and is the essential motivating factor for all we do at EveryDog. Each employee at EveryDog understands how dogs learn, including classical and operant conditioning. Based on this, we consistently achieve results through a caring, benevolent, reward-based system.
At EveryDog, your dog will not suffer leash jerks, yelling, or any other form of what we call “positive punishment” while in the care of EveryDog.
EveryDog is about education. Dogs do not learn when trainers use fear-based tactics, so why would we implement them in the care of your beloved dog? EveryDog treats literally every dog with the same level of love, respect and care it needs.
